A winter wedding The Met Hotel  - Leeds

The Met Hotel - Leeds wedding photography

Matt & Laura's wedding was one wedding I was nervous about, not because I doubted my ability to capture their day perfectly but they were not only my customers but also my friends & next door neighbours.

We set off early from my home in Bury Lancashire to get to bridal prep in Leeds where Laura was getting nervously waiting to marry the love of her life, It was a cold and wet day, and I knew we would not get the outdoor photos we had planned to achieve but like with all my couples we had made other provisions and we were thankful we did.

We arrived at bridal prep nice and early after searching Leeds for a McDonald's breakfast that would set me up until the meal later in the day. I got to work and it felt so natural that my nerves seemed to melt away, we were after all friends and just chatted whilst I captured the atmosphere. It was such a calm, perfect bridal preparation everyone was so chilled out she couldn't have asked for a better morning.

It was soon time to head over the Leeds Town Hall where Matt and Laura were having their wedding ceremony, it was an intimate little room that was just perfect for their close friends and family to watch them make their vows to each other.

Laura was an absolutely stunning bride, and you could see throughout the whole day just how much Matt and Laura love each other, something very special.

After the ceremony we managed a couple of group shots outside Leeds Town Hall before the rain stopped us and the rest of the guests headed over to the Met Hotel.

We didn't let the rain beat us and we still produced some amazing images.

As previously arranged we went into the Leeds Library for Wedding photography of the couple, we got some amazing shots in there and the staff couldn't be more helpful, we were even let upstairs to a private area where we could get some pictures without everyone around.

After our couples portrait session in the Library the 3 of us made our way over to The Met hotel where the happy couple had a glass of bubbly waiting and they were able to mingle with their guests. The day was very laid back, allowing the newly married couple to enjoy quality time with their loved ones.

After an amazing party, at the end of the night the rain had subsided and we were able to get outside and get some fantastic sparkler shots, I love nighttime shots like this. venue right in the heart of Leeds Centre and although nothing in terms of grounds, the inside of the venue was beautiful and made a fantastic backdrop for more family photos. We even included their Christmas tree.
