I’ve been so excited about writing this blog but with the chaos of Christmas & New Years, my blog seems to have taken a bit of a back seat! Now that the new year is here, I’m determined to get back on track! First up is the lovely Kayleigh & Declan who got married at Broadfield Park Hotel last year on a beautiful sunny day in Autumn.
Kayleigh & Declan were trying to plan the perfect wedding day and I was so excited to be there with them as their wedding photographer. They wanted their day to be relaxed and completely stress free so their closest family and friends could enjoy their day too, which completely reflects my style of what I do. I keep a very relaxed and natural theme to my photos, minimal posing and lots of laughter.
The Dress
Kayleigh knew that her favourite part of the wedding planning was going to be picking out her dress for the first time and the wedding rings. I think there was an unexpected surprise in store when she came to finding her perfect wedding dress. Kayleigh had said that she was a little unsure about the dress when it was on the hanger, but when she tried it on she said she knew it was the one. “I absolutely loved it and I didn’t want to take it off”.
The venue – Broadfield Park Hotel
The Broadfield Park Hotel is a gorgeous 18th-century red brick building and is located in the heart of the North West, UK. It’s just minutes from Manchester and provides both the perfect accommodation in Lancashire, but also a gorgeous place to host weddings.
This lovely couple decided to have their wedding here because they said they were made to feel special by the lovely venue staff who couldn’t do enough for them. It’s very well kept and has a nearby park for couple’s portraits. They also picked this venue to have their wedding day because of how convenient it was – they were able to have their wedding ceremony & reception in the same place.
The day started off with bridal prep, Kayleigh was feeling really relaxed and excited for her big day. The morning was lovely, bridesmaids getting ready and lots of laughs. Just how the morning of your wedding should be.
In no time at all, it was time! The bride in her stunning wedding dress, waiting for her dad to come and collect her, and walk down the aisle to get wed! I think the nerves started to kick in at this point, but by the end of it she said it was her favourite part
This gorgeous pair had a super intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends, we made some time for some couple’s portraits in the crisp autumn sun!
Soon enough it was time for their wedding reception, inflatable instruments, good times, music… need I say more?
Thank you so much to Kayleigh & Declan for allowing me to capture their amazing day. Check out some images below of how their day went & I wish you two the best!
